Carespring Health Care Faces Federal Fraud Lawsuit Over Poor Quality of Care at Kentucky Nursing Facility
On July 15, 2011, the U.S. Attorney’s Office of Eastern Kentucky sued Villaspring Health Care Center, a nursing facility in northern Kentucky, and its parent company, Carespring Health Care Management, alleging in a civil complaint that poor quality of care was a contributing factor in the deaths of five Villaspring residents, and that billing Medicare and Medicaid for poor quality care constituted fraud. A hearing date has not been set.
