Pennsylvania Introducing New System to Facilitate Meaningful Use Incentive Payments
OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News In early 2011, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Office of Medical Assistance Programs (OMAP) plans to launch a system that will structure and safeguard the tracking of payments made to Medicaid providers who demonstrate meaningful use of electronic health records (EHR). The system, called the Medical Assistance Provider Incentive Repository (MAPIR), will connect to a federal system run by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and to Pennsylvanias Medicaid Management Information System.
