September 3, 2007 Delaware Health & Wellness Survey Reveals 63% of People With Disabilities Need Help With Routine Tasks of Independent Living Among 339 people with disabilities surveyed in Delaware, about 63% said they needed help with routine tasks such as household chores and shopping. About 28.4% said they needed help with personal care activities such as eating, bathing, and dressing. People with visual impairments reported needing the most help with routine tasks, and people with physical disabilities reported needing the most help with personal care activities.
