September 15, 2003 Proposed Bill Places Minimum 4% Level on Charity Care for Non-Profit Hospitals Legislation will be introduced in Ohio next month that will require non-profit hospitals to provide charity care (care for which they receive no compensation) at a rate equal to at least 4% of the hospital's total gross receipts for compensated care for the preceding calendar year.
