Universal Health Services Buys SummitRidge; its Fifth Atlanta-Area Facility
OPEN MINDS On-Line News Hot News On September 8, 2008, Universal Health Services (Universal) announced the purchase of its fifth psychiatric facility in Atlanta, Georgia 76-bed SummitRidge Hospital located in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The facility was purchased from Gwinnett Medical Center. The purchase brings Universals capacity for the Atlanta metro area to about 620 beds. Universal has a total of seven facilities in Georgia.
