OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News Emergency department physicians participating in a six-month study of wound diagnosis via cell phone images sent by patients have reported high accuracy rates—about 90%—in early results. The study was started by Neal Sikka, M.D., an emergency physician and professor with the George Washington University Medical Center emergency department; it is slated to continue through October 2010.
