Sentara Live Telehealth Venture Launched In Virginia

On August 20, 2012, Sentara Healthcare and MDLive announced they were launching a joint telehealth venture called Sentara MDLIVE that will serve patients throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia starting in October 2012. Once Sentara MDLIVE launches in October, Virginia residents will be able to use the MDLive virtual consult platform to consult directly with a licensed Sentara or partner physician who will diagnose low-acuity illnesses such as allergies or a urinary tract infection and provide care as appropriate, including prescriptions.
