EMR Vendors Cerner & Epic Hold 75% Of New Large Hospital Market Share
Cerner and Epic combined hold 75% of new electronic medical record (EMR) system contracts signed over the past year with hospitals with 200 or more beds in the United States. There were 92 new EHR contracts signed in 2012. Epic signed 47, and Cerner signed 23. There are nearly 1,500 large hospitals in the United States.
