Rite Aid, OptumHealth To Launch NowClinic Online Care Services in Detroit

On September 15, 2011, Rite Aid and OptumHealth announced plans to launch NowClinic online care services in nine Rite Aid stores in Detroit, Michigan. Rite Aid customers will be able see and speak directly to OptumHealth physicians or nurses via the Internet-based NowClinic telehealth system. The physician visits will cost $45 per 10 minutes; during the launch promotion, the companies are offering free NowClinic nurse consultations. A customer record is captured at the end of each interaction and can be shared with the customer’s primary care provider organization. The OptumHealth physicians will be able discuss symptoms, provide guidance . . .
