Enrollees In California’s County Low-Income Health Plans To Be Transferred To Medi-Cal On January 1, 2014

By January 1, 2014, California’s counties will transition about 600,000 people enrolled in 53 county-run Low-Income Health Plans (LIHPs) into Medi-Cal (California’s Medicaid program) or subsidized commercial health plans available through Covered California, the state’s health insurance marketplace.
