October 17, 2005 Two New York Consulting Firms Agree to Settlement Terms of a Federal Government Civil Lawsuit In September 2005, two New York consulting firms, Applied Consulting, Inc. (ACI), and Applied CaseManagement, Inc. (ACMI), agreed to the settlement terms of a federal government's civil lawsuit filed against them for Medicaid fraud. The lawsuit alleged that ACI and ACMI entered into illegal patient referral schemes with Mount Vernon Hospital (MVH), and Catskill Regional Hospital (CSH).
