North Dakota Telepharmacy Project Serving as Model for Other States

OPEN MINDS On-Line News Strategic Health Care News A North Dakota telepharmacy project that began in 2002 has begun serving as a model for 19 other states seeking to implement telepharmacy services; the North Dakota project started with 10 volunteer sites and has expanded to 67 sites. Eleven states — Alaska, Idaho, Illinois, Montana, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Wyoming, and the District of Columbia — have passed laws to enable the establishment of telepharmacies.
