October 25, 2004 Pennsylvania Mental Health Center Closes The board of directors at the Cumberland Valley Mental Health Center in Chambersburg (Pennsylvania) closed the facility on October 7, 2004, due to lack of revenue and frequent patient cancellations. The center provides outpatient therapy; medication management; a partial hospital program; life skills training for clients relocating back into the community and group settings; and a student assistance program where staff members work with students with emotional problems and drug and alcohol issues.
