OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News FirstHealth of the Carolinas and Mountain States Health Alliance (MHSA) have started three-year projects using Philips Telehealth wireless devices, which will be used in patientsÂ’ homes to collect and transmit vital sign data and to enable communication between health care professionals and patients. The devices will be used to measure vital signs, such as weight, blood pressure and pulse, blood oxygen, ECG heart rhythm, and blood glucose levels.
