New Lexington Prison for Elderly/Disabled Inmates

October 27, 2003 New Lexington Prison for Elderly/Disabled Inmates Plans have been finalized to build a 250-bed state prison in Lexington (Oklahoma) to house elderly and disabled inmates. The Oklahoma Department of Corrections (DOC) announced on September 17, 2003, that architectural blueprints for the new facility are being prepared and that construction on the facility should begin in about six months.
