Lubbock MHMR Opens New Integrated Primary Care Behavioral Health Clinic

Share The Lubbock, Texas Regional Mental Health and Mental Retardation Center (LRMHMRC) recently expanded services to include primary care at its Sunrise Canyon psychiatric facility. The clinic opened in September 2011. Via federal grant funding and a partnership with the Combest Clinic of Texas Tech Health Sciences Center, the facility provides integrated psychiatric care, primary health care, wellness, and chronic disease management services. LRMHMRC serves over 1,300 adults with serious mental illness (SMI), many of whom have co-occurring chronic physical health conditions.
