Missouri Cancels SynCare Contract for Medicaid HCBS Eligibility Administration
Share On September 2, 2011, the Missouri Division of Senior and Disability Services (DSDS) canceled its new eligibility assessment administration contract with SynCare LLC. Starting May 19, 2011, SynCare provided call center assessment and care planning services for individuals with disabilities seeking or receiving home-and community-based support services (HCBS). The contract was cancelled because SynCare had been unable to meet demand and on August 12, 2011, SynCare failed to meet payroll and laid off employees.
