Florida, Georgia, Illinois & Oregon Launch Medicaid EHR Incentives
Share Florida, Georgia, Illinois, and Oregon are the most recent states to launch their Medicaid electronic health record (EHR) meaningful use incentive programs. A total of 27 states now offer the incentive programs and 17 have started making payments to Medicaid provider organizations. Between January and August 2011, about $389 million in Medicaid meaningful use payments has been distributed to 118 hospitals, and 1,297 physicians, nurse practitioners, and other eligible professionals.
