November 3, 2003 Calhoun Named NIAAA Deputy Director On September 11, 2003, Faye Calhoun, M.D., was named deputy director of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), a component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
