November 13, 2006 Ohio Supreme Court Rejects Challenge to Charter Schools; Risk to Charter Model Continues On November 1, 2006, the Ohio Supreme Court ruled by a narrow margin that public charter schools are constitutional and do not violate a uniformity clause that calls for all schools to provide uniform access and instruction; however, the uniformity clause has been at the base of recent challenges to the charter school concept in other states.
