Physicians that accepted Medicare and Medicaid tended to be in large practices with more than 26 physicians and in offices with high daily patient volumes. Among large practices, 87.1% accepted Medicare and 83.6% accepted Medicaid. Among offices seeing more than 31 patients daily, 84% accepted Medicare and 68.4% accepted Medicaid. Among offices seeing 30 or fewer patients daily, Medicaid acceptance rates ranged from 58.6% at offices seeing 10 or fewer . . .
