83% of Physicians Accept Medicare & 65% Accept Medicaid

Physicians that accepted Medicare and Medicaid tended to be in large practices with more than 26 physicians and in offices with high daily patient volumes. Among large practices, 87.1% accepted Medicare and 83.6% accepted Medicaid. Among offices seeing more than 31 patients daily, 84% accepted Medicare and 68.4% accepted Medicaid.
