About 10% of young adults between the ages of 18 and 34 will be eligible for health insurance coverage in 2014 through Medicaid expansion or a subsidized health insurance marketplace plan. About 10.8 million of the total 68.6 million young adults in the United States are uninsured and living in a single person household; 7.5 million of the 10.8 million meet the income requirements to enroll in Medicaid as part of the expansion population or to receive a premium subsidy by enrolling in a Qualified Health Plan (QHP) through the state and federal health insurance marketplaces . . .
