Acadia Pathways Hospital Makes Corrections; Texas DSHS Lifts Suspension

OPEN MINDS On-Line News On October 18, 2007, the Texas Department of State Health Services issued an order that listed corrections made at the North Longview psychiatric facility, Acadia Pathways Hospital, reinstating its license. The state had suspended the facilityÂ’s license on October 11, 2007, after an investigation from October 1 to October 5, 2007, following complaints lodged against the hospital. The 24 patients were moved to other care facilities. The suspension was lifted after Acadia made the following improvements: Development of a plan and schedule for round-the-clock physician coverage Active recruiting of new physicians Plans . . .
