Number of Workers With Employment-Based Health Insurance Down 3.9% Between 2007 and 2009

Between 2007 and 2009, there was a 3.9% decrease in the number of workers between the ages of 18 and 64 covered by employment-based health benefits either in their own names or as a dependent. This number changes from 162.5 million in 2007 to 156.1 million 2009.
