Risk-Adjusted Bundled Primary Care Payment Cut Spending Growth In Patient-Centered Medical Home Pilot
Risk-adjusted bundled payments for primary care in patient-centered medical homes (PCMHs) cut spending at three PCMHs by more than one percent per year over a two-year period compared to traditional primary care practices. Unadjusted PCMH spending dropped by 1.5% in the first year and by 1.8% in the second year among continuously enrolled patients. The findings were reported in “Bending the Cost Curve?
