December 12, 2005 Department of Justice Awards Detention Services to Corrections Corporation of America The United State Department of Justice awarded Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) a contract to provide long-term detention services for male juveniles. Under the approximately $1.5 million contract, CCA will provide services for one year in Shelby County, Tennessee. CCA specializes in the designing, building, and managing of prisons, jails, and detention facilities, as well as and providing residential and transportation services for inmates.
