December 13, 2004 Cornell Takes Over Operation of Las Vegas Corrections Facility  Cornell Companies, Inc. announced December 2, 2004, that it has officially taken over operation of the Las Vegas Community Corrections Center (Nevada), a 65-bed adult community corrections center, through a contract awarded by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The facility will house inmates in the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.  The initial contract is for two years with three one-year renewal options.
