December 19, 2005 Dakota Network Creates Telemedicine Network for Rural Clinics The Dakota Network of Community Health Centers (DNCHC) announced on November 16, 2005, the creation of a telemedicine network designed to improve continuity of patient care among clinics and specialty physicians and increase access to specialty health care in rural communities of South Dakota. The DNCHC is a collaboration of 24 community health center organizations in South Dakota that focuses on addressing health care issues in small-town communities and rural areas of the state.
