AACAP Names New President

December 24, 2001 AACAP Names New President On October 27, 2001, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) announced its new president, Marilyn Benoit, M.D.  Dr. Benoit has been a member of AACAP for almost 30 years and has held executive offices of president-elect, secretary and councilor-at-large; she has also chaired a number of AACAP components. She is currently program director of Child Psychiatry Training for general residents and associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
