CMS & Washington State Sign Managed Care MOU For Dual Eligible Population; July 2014 Launch Date Planned

On November 25, 2013 the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) signed a memorandum of understanding with Washington State to launch the second HealthPathWashington initiative, an integrated managed care program for people eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. Enrollment for the second initiative is slated to start after July 1, 2014. About 27,000 Washington State dual eligibles living in King and Snohomish counties will be able to participate.
