15 Virginia FQHCs Sue For Reimbursement
A coalition of nonprofit community health centers designated Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in Virginia filed a lawsuit on December 19, 2025, against the state’s Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS). Plaintiffs alleged that for the past 25 years, DMAS has violated state and federal law by paying less than the average cost per visit for services the health centers provide to Medicaid consumers.
