2.4% Of Adults Receiving Psychiatric Outpatient Treatment Pay More Than 10% Of Disposable Income On Out-Of-Pocket Costs
About 2.4% of adults who received outpatient psychiatric treatment between 2018 and 2021 spent more than 10% of disposable family income on out-of-pocket (OOP) costs for treatment. Among adults with income below the federal poverty level, 12.8% had a high OOP burden.
