2024 Median Costs For Long-Term Care Up 3% To 10%, Depending On Type Of Care

Median costs for long-term care (LTC) services rose for most care types between 2023 and 2024. The increases ranged from 3% for hourly home health aide services to 10% for hourly homemaker services and monthly assisted living fees. Median nursing home costs increased by 7% for a semi-private room to 9% for a private room. Adult day costs increased by 5%. The median costs for LTC services rose more than the 2.9% national inflation rate for 2024.
