2025 Medicare Advantage Deductibles Average $315, Up From $132 In 2024

The average deductible for Medicare Advantage (MA) plans purchased during the annual enrollment period for 2025 was $315, compared to $132 in 2024, calculated as an increase of 139%, according to a recent survey from online broker eHealth. Despite the increase in the average deductible, the overall average monthly premium decreased from $9 per month to $5 per month. The researchers said average monthly premiums decreased because 87% of beneficiaries enrolled in plans with zero-dollar premiums. A plan with a zero-dollar monthly premium will still have a deductible, which is set by the Medicare Advantage plan carrier.
