25% Of U.S. Adults Use AI For Health Information, But Only 4% Strongly Trust Results
One in four U.S. adults (25%) report using artificial intelligence (AI) tools to navigate health concerns, reflecting a growing shift in how consumers engage with the health care system before and after clinical encounters, according to a recent survey by Gallup and West Health.
The survey, conducted in April 2026 with a nationally representative sample of more than 5,500 U.S. adults, found that AI is most commonly used to supplement interactions with health care professionals:
