28 States Use Medicaid Managed Care To Cover Benefits For Dual Eligibles
In the U.S., 27 states and the District of Columbia use comprehensive Medicaid managed care programs to cover some or all benefits for people dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid (dual eligibles). The states are: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin. The remaining states do not use comprehensive Medicaid managed care plans for dual eligibles.
