Health Insurance Marketplaces Enroll 3.3 Million, Another 3.2 Million Determined Eligible For Medicaid
Between October 1, 2013 and February 1, 2014, the state-run and federally facilitated Health Insurance Marketplaces enrolled nearly 3.3 million people, and assessed another 3.2 million people for Medicaid or Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) eligibility. During the four-month period, health insurance marketplaces determined eligibility for marketplace plans or Medicaid for a total of 10.4 million people.
