In all, 27% of older adults were caregivers of those with a health issue or disability in the past year; this includes 32% of women aged 50 and over and 22% of men in this age group of people 50 and older in the U.S. provided care to at least one person with a health issue or disability. According to the poll results, 23% of people over age 65 provide care to at least one person with a health issue or disability.
