40% Of D-SNP Members Lived In A County With An Aligned Medicaid Managed Care Plan
For the 2025 plan year, all insurers operating a Medicaid managed care plan in a given county must also offer an aligned Medicare Advantage Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) serving the same county. This is a new approach to integrating care for dual eligibles, mandated by rules issued in 2022 by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
