According to a recent report by the California State Auditor, about 43% of psychiatrists serving child Medicaid beneficiaries in California were unable to provide an urgent appointment within the state standard of four days. Additionally, the median wait time was 13 days. For children urgently seeking therapy services, 58% of appointments exceeded the standard wait time of 48 hours, and some had wait times of more than 100 days.
