53% Of Americans Plan To Rely On Social Security In Retirement, But 73% Concerned Those Funds Won’t Be There

In the U.S., 53% of surveyed adults who have not yet retired said they expect their Social Security benefits to pay for necessities when they retire (either very reliant or slightly reliant). A total of 57% of men participating said they expect to rely on Social Security benefits, compared with 50% of women. But 73% of all respondents said they don’t expect those funds to still be there when the time comes.
