57% Of Exchange Enrollees Previously Were Uninsured
Prior to purchasing health insurance through state or federally run health insurance marketplaces, about 57% of enrollees were uninsured. About 45% had been uninsured for five or more years.
These are findings of the initial Kaiser Family Foundation Survey of Non-Group Health Insurance Enrollees. The survey is the first in a series about the non-group market.
