Nearly 58% Of Commercially Insured Individuals Had Chronic Conditions In 2024
More than half (57.5%) of commercially insured individuals received care for at least one chronic health condition in 2024, according to a recent FAIR Health report. The most common condition among the 44 analyzed was high cholesterol, affecting 21.2% of the commercially insured population.
Approximately 11.5% of individuals had two chronic conditions, and 9.1% had three. Among cardiometabolic conditions, 33.4% had two of the following in some combination: high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and obesity. About 4.3% had all three.
