72% Of Hospitalized Adults Comfortable With At-Home Remote Monitoring; Device Comfort, Ease Of Use & Clinical Oversight Are Key
People are increasingly comfortable with the concept of hospital-at-home and wearable remote monitoring technologies, according to a recent survey. About 72% said they were comfortable using remote monitoring devices at home rather than remaining in the hospital for recovery from serious medical issues. Device comfort, ease of use, and clinical oversight were key factors in consumer willingness to use wearable monitoring devices during recovery at home. Half of respondents said physical discomfort or skin irritation would lead them to stop using the devices.
