CalMHSA Stigma Reduction Campaign Results In Projected 36:1 ROI From New Tax Collection
California’s mental health stigma reduction effort has an estimated return on investment (ROI) to the state of $36 in higher tax collections for each $1 invested. The estimated ROI accounts for the higher likelihood that people with psychological distress will seek mental health treatment after exposure to the stigma reduction campaign, and that a percentage of those who seek treatment while unemployed will later gain employment.
