74% Of U.S. Adults Believe Chronic Disease Is Preventable, But Only 25% Feel Confident In Avoiding It
Nearly three-quarters (74%) of U.S. adults believe that chronic health conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease can largely be prevented, according to a recent national survey. However, only 25% report feeling very confident in their ability to maintain their health and avoid developing these conditions.
Barriers to action remain significant. A total of 65% of respondents said they have delayed or avoided taking steps to improve their health because it felt too expensive or too overwhelming.
