76% Of Salt Lake City Residents With Four Or More Arrests Were Unsheltered Homeless Individuals
Among 1,021 individuals in Salt Lake City, Utah, with four or more arrests in a one-year period, 76% (783 people) were unsheltered homeless, according to data presented to the Utah Homeless Services Board. Of the 783 unsheltered homeless people with four or more arrests in one year, 49% had been chronically homeless for at least five years. The 1,021 individuals represented 43% of all arrests in Salt Lake City, but only 12% of all individuals arrested.
