79.6% Of Older Adults Exiting Homelessness Had Prior Case Management & ADL Impairment

Older adults experiencing homelessness who had a case manager during the previous six months or difficulty performing one or more activities of daily living (ADLs) were more likely to exit homelessness than those without those characteristics, according to a recent study. Among participants who exited homelessness by obtaining housing or entering an institutional placement during a median follow-up of 4.0 years, 79.6% had those associated characteristics. The median time from study enrollment to housing attainment was 1.5 years.
