79% Of Americans Support Strengthening Parity Rules For Behavioral Health Care
About 79% of Americans said they support a recent federal rule to strengthen rules to ensure that commercial health plans cover behavioral health services at parity with physical health services. However, about half of Americans surveyed said they doubt that even with the rule that health plans will provide equal access and coverage to mental health and addiction treatment services. About 73% said the federal government has not done enough to ensure access to affordable mental health care.
