Accreditation Commission For Health Care Expands Assisted Living Accreditation Program Nationwide
The Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) is expanding its accreditation program for assisted living facilities nationwide, according to an announcement issued December 2, 2025.
The decision to expand was based on the outcomes of a three-year pilot in North Carolina. For the pilot, 146 adult care homes and assisted living communities were recruited and randomly assigned to either an accreditation arm or a control arm. A total of 113 communities participated and provided data.
